On-Campus Jobs

The Student Associate Programme

The Yale-NUS College Student Associate Programme (SAP) provides students with a range of on-campus opportunities where they work with faculty or administrative offices to contribute to their research or project operations.

General Terms and Conditions

On-campus opportunities are only available to full-time matriculated students at Yale-NUS or NUS (exchange students are not eligible). There are no nationality restrictions. On-campus opportunities are posted and filled on a rolling basis.

Starting from 1 May 2017, Student Associate positions are compensated at one of three fixed rates: $9 per hour, $12 per hour or $20 per hour, in accordance with the position scope and complexity. Students receive their compensation from the hiring department or division. See the Student Associate Pay Rate Guidelines below for more information.

Student Associate Pay Rate Guidelines (in effect until January 2018)

Student Associates are recommended to work up to 10 hours per week during the semester, so that they can better balance their commitments. International (non-Singaporean) students are allowed to work for a maximum of 16 hours per week (Monday-Sunday) during semester time, according to the Ministry of Manpower regulations for Student’s Pass holders. This limit does not apply during vacation periods.
