Graduate School Advising

Our students and alumni embark on graduate studies for a variety of reasons – to engage in advanced scholarship, to obtain the necessary qualifications for a chosen career path, to advance their current career or pivot to a new one. In each case, pursuing graduate school must be considered carefully, as it requires a significant investment of time and resources.

Advisors from the Centre for International & Professional Experience (CIPE) are available to help students and alumni navigate the various important factors that influence their decision to pursue postgraduate studies. In addition, CIPE offers specific expertise on certain types of graduate programmes.

CIPE advising helps students with the following:

  • Determine whether and what kind of graduate study aligns with their goals;
  • Receive feedback on their application materials (Resume or curriculum vitae, statement of purpose etc.);
  • Navigate the application process for research and professional Master’s and PhD programmes, including specific programmes such as medical graduate school, graduate law school and concurrent and special degree programme partnerships with the National University of Singapore and Yale University.
