Barnard College is a liberal arts institution, and one of the oldest women’s colleges in the United States, located in downtown Manhattan, New York. Barnard is an affiliate college of Columbia University, with the combined resources and facilities of both institutions. Students at Barnard enjoy access to courses ranging across almost 50 majors, as well as a leafy 4-acre campus set within the global metropolis of New York City. Like Wellesley College, Barnard is a member of the ‘Seven Sisters’ group of historical women’s colleges.

Fields of Study
Barnard College offers a wide range of modules across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Exchange students are eligible to enrol in all courses, as long as they meet the prerequisites and/or receive permission from the instructor. Please find the Barnard course catalog here.

Full Course Load (Required Number of Credits)

Students are required to take the full course load at the host institution, which will be equivalent to 20 MCs upon successful completion of credit transfer procedures back at Yale-NUS College.
