Bocconi University, established in 1902, stands as one of Europe’s best universities for economics, management, finance, and law. Bocconi prides itself on being a “major research university, with democratic values and open to the world,” while purposely fostering a community that values personal ethics as highly as it does academics. Ranked #17 worldwide in economics and econometrics by the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2015, this university teaches more than 14,000 under/post graduates in various business related disciplines.

Fields of Study

Yale-NUS students are expected to enroll in what is considered a full course load by Bocconi University, which is typically four courses per semester for exchange students. All courses are selected online where students can choose from about 150 courses taught in English.  For a list of courses that incoming exchange students can take, click here.  When selecting courses, keep in mind that undergraduate students can only select courses at the undergraduate level (codes 30xxx and some 50xxx).

Full Course Load (Required Number of Credits)


Students are required to take the full course load at the host institution, which will be equivalent to 20 MCs upon successful completion of credit transfer procedures back at Yale-NUS College.
