University of Virginia (UVA), founded by Thomas Jefferson in 1819, is one of the best public universities in the United States, with a long and esteemed history as well as beautiful, historic campus. UVA has 11 colleges across different disciplines, with a total of 15,669 undergraduate students enrolled. Located in the town of Charlottesville, students can engage in a wide range of activities, from screenings at the Virginia Film Festival, to hiking the Appalachian Trail and enjoying the stunning views of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

UVA’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers a wide range of modules offered in humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Exchange students are eligible to enroll in all courses (except Law, Business, and Medicine), as long as they meet the pre-requisites and/or receive permission from the instructor.
