Yale Summer Session (YSS) in New Haven offers courses in a wide range of subjects (see link to course listings below). Students earn academic credit while exploring a subject of interest that they may not be able to study at Yale-NUS or NUS (or on the Yale-NUS Summer Institute in Global Strategy and Leadership). During the program, students live in residence halls and experience campus life at Yale.
Yale-NUS students are not eligible to enrol in online courses.
There are up to 20 spots total for YSS New Haven/Abroad in Summer 2018.
Courses are available in a range of subjects. Yale-NUS students may only take courses during Session A, which runs from end of May through end of June 2018. Students will select two modules to take in Session A.
Yale Summer Session in New Haven is open to students from all academic disciplines and majors. Priority will be given to first and second year students, however, third year students (and fourth year DDP students) are also welcome to apply. Applicants should be in good academic and disciplinary standing. Successful applicants will demonstrate the following in a 300-word essay:
Important: Priority will be given to applicants expressing interest in courses that are in disciplines different from the Yale-NUS Summer Institute in Global Strategy and Leadership.

One Yale credit = 5 MCs. The maximum number of MCs that can be earned through summer studies, though, is capped at 10 MCs per summer.
